The deal, in plain words.

This is the agreement between you and Growingwe. It is written to be read — if a term here would surprise you, it is written badly, and we would rather fix it than bury it.

Draft — not yet in effect. These terms are still with our lawyers. They describe how Growingwe actually works today and we intend to stand behind them, but they are not a binding agreement until they carry a date. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the law where you live.

The whole thing, briefly

Three things, then the detail.

The sections below say the same things at greater length. If you read only this part, you have the shape of it.

The account is yours

You need one to use Growingwe, you are responsible for who can get into it, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Your child’s story is yours

Everything you save stays yours. We store it and show it to the people you choose — we do not sell it, train on it, or claim ownership of it.

You can leave

Export everything whenever you like, and close the account when you want to. Closing is reversible for 30 days before anything is destroyed.

Your account

What is on you.

Growingwe holds a child’s medical records and identity documents. That puts a short list of things on your side of the line, and we would rather name them than imply them.

Keep the password to yourself

Anyone who has it can read your child’s health records and documents. Changing it always asks for the current one, so an unlocked phone cannot be used to take the account.

You choose who joins

Inviting a partner or a grandparent gives them the access you picked, and you can change or withdraw it at any time. What they do with what they can see is between you and them.

Save what is yours to save

Only add photographs, documents and records you have the right to add. If a child’s story involves someone else’s child, that is their decision to make too.

What is not allowed

Do not use Growingwe to break the law, to harm a child, to attack the service, or to resell access to it. We can suspend an account doing any of those.

What you save

It stays yours. All of it.

We claim no ownership

Your photographs, letters, recordings, documents and records belong to you. You give us permission to store them, to show them to the family members you have chosen, and to process them enough to run the product — making a thumbnail, letting you search, sending a reminder you asked for. That permission exists so the app can work, and it ends when you delete the content or close the account.

And we do not sell it or train on it

Growingwe carries no advertising, sells nothing to data brokers, and does not use what you save to train machine-learning models. There is no clause further down that quietly takes this back — the privacy promise is part of this agreement, not marketing beside it.

You can always take a copy

Export is in Settings and needs no permission from us. We would rather you never feel locked in — a child’s story is a bad thing to hold hostage, and a product that has to trap people is not a good enough product.

Medical safety

Growingwe is not a medical tool.

This is a term, not just a disclaimer

Growingwe stores, organises and reminds you from schedules and records that you entered yourself. It never diagnoses, never recommends treatment, never changes a dose, and never interprets a document you upload. Nothing in the app is medical advice and none of it replaces your doctor. In an emergency, call your emergency services — do not rely on a reminder in this app.

Ending it

Leaving is a door, not a maze.

Closing your account takes 30 days to become final

When you close an account it stops working immediately, but nothing is destroyed for 30 days. You are shown that deadline as a real date, and you can undo the closure at any point before it. After it passes, your content is destroyed and cannot be recovered by you or by us — so export first if you want a copy.

When we would end it

We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break the law, to harm a child, or to attack the service. Short of those, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a chance to put it right before doing anything. We would also tell you, with as much notice as we can, if Growingwe itself were ever to shut down — with time to export everything.

Changes to these terms

We may update them as the product changes. For anything that materially affects you we will say so in the app before it takes effect, not quietly swap the page. Continuing to use Growingwe after that is how the new terms are accepted; if you would rather not, you can export and close the account.

What we can and cannot promise

We work hard to keep Growingwe available and your content safe, but no service is perfect and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or that a fault will never occur. Growingwe is not a backup service — keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. Nothing here limits liability for anything the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing here takes away a consumer right you have where you live.

Help and a way to message support are in the app under Settings. If something in these terms is unclear or reads as unfair, tell us — that is a defect in the writing, and we would like to know about it.
